Artist Allyson Nagel has been creating her porcelain creations for over 30 years.  She is well known for her whimsical egg characters and novelty salt & pepper shaker vignettes.  She also produced a number of porcelain dolls that were each hand built and customized.

She participated as an artist at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival for 20 years.  During this time she showed her finished work, performed live demonstrations of her artistic process, and achieved Master Artisan status.

Allyson was a designer for the giftware corporation Roman, Inc of Chicago, Illinois for seven years in the 1990s.  Over 250 designs were reproduced and distributed worldwide.  These reproductions differ from her original designs in that they are cast in resin and not the delicate porcelain that Allyson typically works with.

From 2003-2007, Allyson was invited to paint South Dakota's State Easter Egg for the White House Easter Egg Display.  She was honored in Washington, DC and met former First Lady, Laura Bush.
Allyson's work has been featured in many national publications and has won numerous awards.  Her sculptures are well known and collected worldwide.

Her studio is located in Madison, South Dakota.  She enjoys her home, gardening, and spending time with her corgi Lucy.  Allyson is constantly inspired by those around her, especially her granddaughters Eva and Olive.
